3D Printing

Anderson Public Library has a MakerBot Sketch 3D printer available for use by the public.

How do I use the 3D printer?

Click here to send us the 3D model you would like to print (with your email address in the “Name” box) or bring it to the library on a USB flash drive. We will run the model through the MakerBot CloudPrint slicing software to preview the print job and calculate the total cost of materials.

You can also make a free CloudPrint account to preview your models by visiting cloudprint.makerbot.com.

How much do 3D prints cost?

3D prints cost $0.15/gram of material, plus applicable taxes, due at the time of pickup.

Are there any constraints on what I can print?

Our MakerBot Sketch is limited to using 1.75mm PLA filament and has a build area of 150x150x150mm. Models exceeding this size will have to be scaled to fit.
