This November, the books on display are about families or about food and family. Elin Hildebrand treats us to a wedding party with the incredibly complex family of Beautiful Day and Anne Tyler takes us through the lives of three generations in a Spool of Blue Thread. We revisit sisters in Lauren Edmondson’s Ladies of the House (Jane Austen’s Sense & Sensibility) and Virginia Kantra retells Little Women in her Meg & Jo story. Cooking binds us together in Jennifer Ryan’s historical novel Kitchen Front and in Samantha Verant’s Secret French Recipes of Sophie Valroux. We even find unexpected family when Annie Noblin’s Maeve adopts a stray dog in St. Francis Society for Wayward Pets. So it’s now the time to curl up with a moving story and get to know these families.
