Learn Basic Computer Skills

When it comes to learning computer skills, do you need to start at the very beginning? Click here to access hands-on tutorials on typing practice, how to use a mouse, and much more.

For video courses on basic computer skills, log in to the APL online catalog with your library card number and PIN and click on the Learning Express link under “Electronic Resources.”

Once you are on the Learning Express page, go to “Computer Skills Center.”

To access Learning Express video courses, you will need to log in to Learning Express. If it is your first time using Learning Express, you will need to Register with your email address and a new password.

Research Career Opportunities

Search for Job Openings

Click here to customize and save your searches as well as upload/create a resume and apply online.

Click here to see Kentucky State Government job openings.

Or use one of these free job search sites:

  • Glassdoor.com
  • Monster.com
  • Careerbuilder.com
  • Craigslist.com
  • Ziprecruiter.com

You can also use a search engine like Google to find a specific company’s website and look for a “Careers” or “Jobs” link to apply to the company directly.

Whichever method you use, be sure to write down what job you applied to, what site you used, and the date you applied.
